I LOVE my dogs! About 4 years ago, we lost the last of our original 3 English Setters. My husband and I planned to take a doggy break for a year or two. We had elementary aged kids just starting to get into more intense sport schedules. Traveling, cleaning the house, long days away from home…all would be easier.
Within 10 days of us saying goodbye to our Good-Ole boy Buddy, I received a picture of a breathtaking pile of puppies. That was that.
But really, I work from home, and it was too quiet. We have 2 indoor cats, but there is something about the company of a good dog that just makes a house a home.
So here we are 5 years later, and now have two English Setter boys (half-brothers, we really could not help ourselves). But it is now spring, slightly frozen grounds, rainy, sunless days and oh such muddy paws coming in and out several times an hour.
Our pups really like to chase each other around our 3 acres, creating quite a “trenched” path in many places of our yard. I love my dogs; I love my dogs…
One product that I purchased this past fall has really been a lifesaver for these dirt-caked puppy feet. Our boys know they get their feet wiped on the way back into the house. So, adding this in product into the routine was mostly easy.
One product has truly been a game changer for keeping my floors clean: a dog paw cleaner cup. It’s so simple but so effective! We use it every time the boys come in from outside. Here’s how it works:

Fill the cup with a bit of warm water and a drop of dish soap.

Gently dip each paw into the cup.

The silicone bristles inside loosen and clean away dirt and mud.

Wipe and dry with a towel—done!
