Autumn is made for reading. A small list of some of my favorite, cozy fall books and authors.

There’s just something special about Autumn. The world tends to feel quieter, the air a little crisper, and the days just right for slowing down. It’s the cozy season of warm drinks, soft blankets, flickering candles—and the perfect time to get lost in a good book. These are just a small sampling of books and authors that I have really enjoyed. These books touch on a bit of those fall feelings, whether it’s a small town, a bit of mystery, or a touch of magic blended into the story. I hope you find a recommendation or two that you’ll want to dive into this AutumnRead More →

I always say, I am happy with a good cup of coffee and a library book. There is nothing better than a lazy summer night on the deck with a good book and perhaps trading that cup of coffee for an adult beverage. Our local library has a summer reading program for adults too and it’s fun to see how many new reads I can get on the list. Adds to the excitement to win a fun prize too! I picked up “The Secret Love Letters of Olivia Moretti” by Jennifer Probst last week. This is the second book I have read based in Positano,Read More →

I really enjoy a great deal. Most of the time I borrow the books I read from the library. But I do enjoy a bargain at a used book sale, too. Not a life changing read, but a great collection of characters who come together to ride along some life struggles as a dynamic group of people.Read More →

Welcome to my “Currently Reading” page. Okay, it may be a past favorite as well. Sometimes when you read a book, you just want another person to jump into that new world as you did. I read a lot of different types of books. I like to feel hopeful at the end of a story. So, if you’re looking for a serious, sad tale you probably won’t find me writing about it here. Hope you find a few new favorites here, I’m always happy to add a new “to read” to my list.Read More →

I truly love to read. I’m a regular at our local library and so grateful for the incredibly efficient share-a-book lending system between nearby libraries. It lets me request books to my heart’s content—dangerous, but wonderful. I also keep a very unorganized list of books I want to read. If I see a recommendation online or hear about a book that sounds interesting, I usually just screenshot the cover and hope I remember why I saved it later. Not exactly a system… but it works. Many years ago, when my now 15-year-old daughter was still a tiny little thing, I read my very first KateRead More →
